Last night in New Mexico

Jason and I got back from New Mexico late Sunday evening. On our last night there we took a tram ride to Sandia Peak and looked out over Albuquerque. The tram is the longest one in the world - we were packed in like sardines....The tram driver said "If there is room enough to breath then there is too much room - move over and let more people in." Her analogy made me a little nervous, however we made it to the top and back without incidence. After the tram ride Jason and I grabbed a taxi and went to Nob Hill where the University of New Mexico is located. We had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed sitting outside watching the city around us. It was nice having dates at night without the worry of anything else - nobody needing us, nobody calling us, and nobody interrupting our talk or our silence.

Despite our great mini-vacation it was nice coming home! We were greeted by the best hugs and kisses anyone could ever get. We had little parasites attached to our hips for the remainder of Sunday night - how great it is to be loved :)!

Old Town Albuquerque

Jason and I had a great day! We woke up early and grabbed a cab to Old Town Albuquerque. We ate a delicious breakfast on a Mexican inspired outside patio, then we walked around the market for hours just enjoying one another. After we had exhausted ourselves with shopping and walking we caught a ride back to the hotel so I could catch my classes and Jason could have some time with God. Jason has done amazing things over the last few days (check out his blog for more details) - he has connected with two homeless men and feed three homeless men. It always amazes me on how he allows God to use him. After my classes were done and Jason was finished visiting with Tom we were treated to a Brazilian dinner by a drug rep - YUMMY!

These last few days have been full, but the times I have spent with Jason have been wonderful :)

The art of juggling...

I took last week off from all blogging activities: reading, writing, exploring, connecting, etc. I was beginning to feel my juggling act falling apart and I just didn't have time to do it all. Between being a wife, being a mom, visiting my brother, working a full time job, trying to manage a small time sewing business (Ribbon N Curls), keeping up my house, maintaining friendships, keeping my sanity, and whatever else God wants me to do - I got a little tired last week.

On Monday I spent a fabulous day with Haley, our babysitter. I took her to Spa Sydell for a one hour massage, then we got dressed up and met Jason for dinner. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Macaroni Grill and then came home so she could visit the kids before she left for college on Saturday. On Tuesday I had to go into work followed by my 4 hour hairdresser appointment. My friend, Amy, met me there - we ordered Sugos while we got pampered. On Wednesday the kids and I went to have lunch with my brother, Brad, then we had to run errands and we got groceries. On Thursday I had a meeting at work followed by meeting up with Jason for dinner after hanging at the Mac store for computer maintenance. Friday came and I had to cook, nap, go to work and do it all again on Saturday. On any "free time" during these days I worked on some baby blanket orders, I straightened the house, played with the kids, visited with "Mimi", and found a little sleep.

I really do not believe this week will allow for more time - Monday I need to shop for Jason's birthday and go to a wedding shower, Tuesday I have a Southern Living party to attend followed by Jason's birthday party (which I am cooking Chicken Spaghetti and Mississippi Mud cake - yummy), Wednesday I usually take the kids to the pool and visit Brad, then I work 12 hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Despite the busyness, I love it and I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my family, my friends, my job - every aspect of what God has given me. Praise God for my blessings, for my opportunities and for my health to conquer it all :)!

We are home!

We are officially home :).

I want to thank you all for your prayers. My fever finally broke at 1 a.m. and I have been without fever since. I have been a little weak, but definitely much better.

Look for a post tomorrow and a new photo album with my 337 pictures from Mexico.

Please Pray for Me

Please pray for me....I have been sick since 5:00 this a.m. with fevers, chills and severe body aches to the point of not walking well. I have to board a plane tomorrow for the USA - please pray I feel better.

Going back to my post, Why I Love Jason, point # 18 - he gives me presents at random times......

Today Jason bought me the new Flip Video and I can not wait to use it. It is as small as a pocket camera, it holds 60 minute of TV quality video, it downloads directly onto your computer, and it is great for bloggers. It is a perfect fit for my purse and it is great for my little pumpkins. Unfortunately I will be at work tomorrow so I can not imagine I will get any good footage there, however, maybe when I get home we can have Tuesday night party with the Flip :).

The art of making a cake...

Weatherly and I were having a great time baking a Mississippi Mud cake for some friends....

Then part of the hot, sticky, sweet, marshmellow-y cake fell to the floor....

The kids enjoyed licking the mess of the floor and luckily there was some left to save for friends :)

Learning to paint

I like this one better.....

On the first picture I cut the bows from a color photo and pasted to the b&w, if you look closely you can see the black ribbon behind the red one. On this picture I used the paint brush, thanks to Chiefdaddy's tutorial he sent me. I am so pumped I know how to do this now :)!!

For the love of photoshop....

Okay all my photoshop geeks - this is my first try of making a black and white picture have some color. Chiefdaddy is my inspiration. If anyone has any tips please let me know....

Jason and I went out to eat (alone) and as we were driving off I spotted this motorcycle. I could not contain my laughter, so Jason jumped out of the car to capture the moment. There is no doubting what gender this motorcycle is...
